We are now organizing our troops to battle the oil spill. Our base of workers and subcontractors are growing daily.

Here is an update pertaining where we stand regarding equipment and worker deployment.

Our response effort is divided into working individuals and material resources.

We have thousands of people to help support this relief effort. We are currently creating a schedule for their deployment. Our resources are organized first by their home location geographically in relation to the area they will serve. Next the management is arranged in the following way.

  1. We are organizing the larger contractors by their capacity to manage and oversee work and workers.
    • Over 300
    • 100 to 299
    • 50 to 99
    • 25 to 49
    • 10 to 24
    • 2 to 9
    • 1 – The individual worker is going to be joined into teams that are focused on like task.
  2. Geographic work areas will be assigned to these teams and larger contractors. Maps will be provided of the work zone and turned in daily with signatures from the on site supervisors who will confirm each worker that day, how many hours are clocked, location worked, work performed and the progress completed.
  3. Daily safety meetings will be held each morning along with a brief update regarding the results of our efforts, when available.
  4. Compensation will be based on the job performed and the resources supplied. Until further notice compensation will be paid out weekly. Payroll Reports will be turned in daily and totaled on Wednesday of each week. The checks will be cut on that coming Friday.
    1. Here is a work week. The first day of the pay week will begin on Wednesday and continue until the following Tuesday.
      1. Wednesday
      2. Thursday
      3. Friday
      4. Saturday
      5. Sunday
      6. Monday
      7. Tuesday

The office will have Wednesday and Thursday to prepare the checks that are cut and distributed on Friday. This is subject to change if the need arises. Workers will be informed if there is a change to this schedule.
